Imipramine was the worst for me as it makes you sweat like a race horse while you are doing nothing. The best is the one that I take now, none at all.

The best thing instead of drugs is to choose a dream u want to accomplish and work 2wards acheiving it. It will work better than any drug. Sorry, I know this doesn’t answer your question directly but please try this. Believe me, iv’e been ‘there’.

Well, the worst anti-depresants I have been on were Lexapro, Prozac and Welbutrin XL. Then I was diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder, so now I’m on mood stabilizers.

I only ever took Cymbalta, and I gave up after the first day because I had nasty side effects from taking it right after I ate breakfast. I decided that the side effects were even more depressing in comparison to how I felt on a day to day basis, lol.

Anti depressants are a bad idea - your body is not suffering from a lack of anti-depressant. The doctor is treating a symptom not the illness.

Have a browse through the women’s stories at http://www.npis.info and see if you have any commonality.

See also http://www.hormoneprofile.com try the online test there.

Talk to a doctor at http://www.npis.info or have a saliva test done http://www.salivatest.com.

It is probable that natural progesterone is recommended as it is an anti-depressant but at proper doses there are very very few side effects. John Lee used to say there were none, but there were one or two of his patients who had some side effects.

Adhere to the recommendations in due course you will become much better.

    read this ..
    http://www.abc2health.com/progesterone-not-taught.htm

    From John Lee’s December 2002 talk …
"And we make it worse by taking drugs that stop the liver from being able to do it’s work in the business of getting oestrogen out of the system, metabolising oestrogen.

I mentioned the P450 system in the liver, well guess what? Prozac stops the P450 system from working. So someone has oestrogen dominance, they have depression, they have headaches, they are not doing well, they can’t tolerate stress, they go to the doctor. They go to the doctor and he puts them on Prozac. That increases their oestrogen dominance, they can’t excrete their own oestrogen. So here we have impaired liver function. Yeah, we do have people who drink too much but actually the liver does pretty well with that. But if you have Prozac you’re damaged"

Some simple logic a pregnant women is producing 300md of progesterone per day during her last 3 months of pregnancy. Normally a women is never healthier than she is in the last months of pregnancy.
The baby is born and she loses her 300mg of progesterone this is the cuase of post natal deopression in some women it takes longer for there monthly cycle to start again after child birth. Normally during her productive years a women is producing 30mg progesterone during the months she ovulates.

Check on the web for "natural progesterone depression" and you will find many pages. Join the other wise women who have been down this path

seroxat otherwise known as paroxotine, its not that its a bad drug, infact it has improved my life by getting me through the depression whn I felt suicidal, I had to programme myself to believe the feelings are worsened by this drug before you feel any improvement. (This is the case with this drug) but it did pay off. I am still alive.

However, I do want to come off it. Why? because it has been 8 years now and I dont fancy taking a pill for the rest of my life. I need to know I am able to cope with out the aid of a drug. And its expensive.

I did try to come off it once 5 years ago, only to land myself suicidal in a psychiatric hospital by a doctor. I was feeling very terrified of everything, its like my thoughts were hallucinating as oppose to anything visual. Its becaus the drug is a mood stabilizer and your mind has to adjust. But glaxosmithklien who made the drug, never did prove if it is possible to com off this drug at all.

Many would say it is addictive. That once you try to come off it, you feel you need another pill, its not far from the truth. You see how a heronine addict wants to come off H? he/she may lie in a bed screaming in agony but still wants to come off H. Its like they will do anything to take away the withdrawal symptoms, and this is exacly how seroxat is. You get so overwhelmed by the side effects that you will do anything to get rid of them, people have tried all sorts in the past, both comming off the drug and going on the drug. Fathers have murdered thier families, teenagers have killed themselves, city workers have murdered thier parents. The list of fatalities still grows and grows. And still Glaxosmithklien will not admit any responsibility, yet have withdrawn its use being allowed for under 18 year olds.

And my best? Psychotherapy. With a decent therapist!

What works varies from person to person because everyone has different body chemistry. For me, Effexor and Lexapro tie for the worst and Wellbutrin is the best, but Effexor works great for some people and Wellbutrin makes some people too agitated.

i havebeen on so many different ones
i remember taking venleflaxine and passing out at work thay mad my mouth so dry and i felt sick

i had seroxat (peroxetin) i felt good on them but then i was rushed into hospital having a reaction to them which caused me to grab a knife from the kitchen and cut the top of my legs to pieces, i can not explain why i did this but i have seen programmes on the telly saying that people do do this sort of thing on seroxat

then i went on buspar, then effexor xl, and then citalopram the thing is that these were probably good but i had so many problems (ocd, ptsd, anxiety panic attacks, phobias and paranoia) that none of the meds helped everything

now i am on duloxetine combined with tryptophan when i was just on duloxetine it didnt really help i just fely so down and low but the counting stopped so the psychiatrist added on the tryptophan, now i am feeling much better, i have put on four stone in weight but not i can go to work and have fun (fake) with my family and that is imoortant to me

good luck on your tablets, i noticed whilst i was fighting the tablets they wouldnt work but when i relaxed it sort of let them do their job

best wishes to you in the future
