whats the best antidepressant for anxiety?
i suffer with anxiety and depression ive tried citalopram, trazodone and amitriptaline but all gave me horrible side effects like being dizzy and feeling not with it does anybody know a antidepressant that dont make you feel like that
I take generic Wellbutrin SR (150 mg) in the morning, and Lexapro (10 mg) with dinner, for depression and anxiety. I’ve been taking that for over two years, and it’s working very well for me.
The Wellbutrin SR seems to help me to be more alert and active - and wanting to do things - while the Lexapro makes me more mellow, and it helps me sleep better, too. They are relatively low doses of each medication, which keeps side effects at a minimum. I really can’t tell I’m taking any medication at all.

The best antidepressant is the one that works for you. Everybody reacts to medications differently, so what works for you might not work for me. For example I’m currently on Trazedone and have no side effects at all.
Keep in mind that most side effects disappear after 4-6 weeks of taking the medication, so if you’re not giving them the chance to get to therapeutic levels in your bloodstream you’re not going to see the side effects go away.
There are many other drugs that your doctor can try you on, but it’s up to your doctor what he thinks is best for you, and up to YOU to let him know how you feel and if the side effects are getting in the way of your life.
