Depression/anxiety medicine quiz?
Is there a website that I can go to take a quiz on what medicine will work best for me? I’ve tried several kinds which turned off not working. I’d like to take a quiz if there is one.
I tried St John’s Wart and 5Htp and neither helped.
i’ve been taking adn changing medication for 5 years
IF YOU AREN’T GOING TO ANSWER MY QUESTION I ASKED THEN DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME PLEASE! I’M NOT GOING TO ANY WEBSTIE TO HELP WITH MY ANXIETY OR DEPRESSION, I NEED TO BE ON MEDICINE.
There’s no such thing. Everyone’s body chemistry is different, and that effects how medication works for us. What works for me may not work for you, and what works for you might not work for me.
How long have you been on these medications? It takes between 2-8 weeks for psychiatric medications to reach therapeutic levels in your system, so if you’ve been switching between them quickly you may have never really felt the effects of the medication,
No online quiz can determine your body chemistry, you just need to keep working with your doctors.
It took me 10 years to find the right anti-depressant, but I’ve been symptom free ever since.
Edit: It took me 10 YEARS. It takes some people longer. You need to just stick with it, there are new anti-depressants approved by the FDA every year. It takes some time to find the right combination, but it’s always worth it in the end.

I would suggest you not take Anti-Depressants. Try something all natural like St John’s Wort or 5-HTP. No side effects!

I don’t have an answer to your question, but I might have some information you’d find useful. There are self-help methods for depression and anxiety that, according to studies cited in The Handbook of Self-Help Therapies, are as good for some people as seeing a therapist.

Have you tried a doctor’s advice? Therapy?
Sometimes anxiety does have roots… and sometimes it helps to talk with a neutral party.
I have anxiety too… it’s not as bad as it used to be, because i did go through therapy (for that and other things). After many years, and after working the therapy and putting tons of effort toward realization and change, i’m doing much better.

I have a website called anxietycompass.com that you might find helpful. I had anxiety as bad as you can get it and I recovered and show other people how to recover. Its free.
