I don’t know what to do, do I have depression?

I have cut three times since November 7th. I feel lost. Empty. Trapped.
I wrote a suicide note in September.
Some days, I feel okay.
Other days, and much more recently, I just don’t know what to do anymore.
I can’t sleep or I sleep all day, and I just don’t know what to do. I love music so much and it helped me cope but I just haven’t felt up to playing drums or guitar for like the past month or so and I really want to but I just don’t feel the same and I don’t know what to do.
Please help me and give advice, especially if you have cut. I don’t know if I have depression but all the online quizzes I have takes say I have severe depression. Help???

Please see your doctor.

Self harm and suicidal thoughts are strong indicators of a depressive disorder, which needs to be diagnosed and treated.

Okay. Definitely see a doctor. Please.
Cutting and suicidal are not good way of getting rid of depression or anxiety.
You should seek for adult or professional help.

    Let me pray for you.

God please intervene in Vee’s life and bring Your help, protection, plan and purpose for Vee, in Jesus name. Amen.

Vee– I don’t know what has got you so depressed but I can tell you that you are loved and taking your life is not the solution. I can tell you because I tried to blow my brains out many years ago. The gun’s safety was on and I didn’t know how to undo it. Now here I am talking to you and seeing if I can help you to know that things get better. Yes, you will have sad moments and good moments but life is given to us as a gift. Not just so that we can live for ourselves but so that we can learn to love and help others. I know that you have incredible talents and gifts that you can use to assist others with. You may not know it right now, but you are marked with a plan and a purpose and you may be helping someone down the road who is at the same place you’re at now. Don’t be a quitter and don’t throw in the towel. I realized that would have been the cowardly thing for me to do and the most selfish thing also because my family would have suffered greatly. How to help depression??? Get on your knees and pray and ask God to use you to help others and to do something beautiful.

you are in Depression, i wish you the best of luck, i was once like that too… ( all is lost, no point left in life )

    things u could do

-Play your guitar/drums even if you dont feel like it… usually after a month or so you would lose the "addiction" of playing the drums or guitar, once u get playing u wont want to stop soon.

-Enjoy life, try taking walks with a friend
    - TALK TO SOMEONE, talk to one of your most trusted friends, school conciler…. i wouldnt go to parents… i counld not imagine myself going… mom, im depressed…

    - find out what is causing your depression
    -Think happy thoughts
-Suicide isnt the answer at all, Getting out of depression and enjoying life that others will never have
    -Meditate? depending on your religion
-Just get some alone time, doing things that you want to do
    -relax, your over stressed.

Hope this helps you, it helped me…. im somewhat a nerd so i like to read so.. ya… lol

You most likely have a form of depression Dysthymia.
it’s rather common but it appears you’ve reached the stage of clinical depression. I’m sorry to hear this. I suffer from depression myself and it is no fun.
