I think I may have depression, I need to talk to a doctor online, is it possible? Read more.?
Hello, as if you did not already see my name is David. I am 13 years of age and have a strong suspicion that I have depression. I have taken exactly 8 online depression screening quiz things all of the saying I had medium/severe depression, including Web MD. I have aches in my back that I never had as a younger kid, I have had these back pains for 3 to 4 years. I feel best in the morning, I feel perfectly fine during the day, sometimes I get sad, then at night, I sometimes feel light sorrow, other times I feel great sorrow and sadness. Anyway, it doesn’t really matter. My main question is, " Does anyone know a website a kid of my age can go to and talk to an actual doctor to see if I really do have depression?". Please respond ASAP. Thank you.
I think I have CLINICAL depression, not just im sad, I have had this for a long time, only now have I realized that it may be what is causing my grades to plummet.
No, sweetheart, there is no website with a real doctor to ask the right questions. If you honestly feel like the future isn’t worth living, or like nothing matters to you, then you may have depression.
I suggest you talk to your parents if that is possible, tell them this is serious and real, then ask them to take you to an actual psychiatrist.
If your parents aren’t the type you can come to, then go to your school counselor, they will help you.

I feel for you because I also have been struggling with depression as well. Are you angry as well? I have a strong hatred towards mankind and am planning on become a doctor so that I will create a virus to wipe out the human race in order to make a better world. So dont worry, your suffering will end soon enough…

No real doctor is going to treat you online. Have your parents set you an appointment with a psychologist. If there’s some reason you feel you can’t do that, I’m sure your school has someone you can talk to.

I think its best to talk to your parents and let them get you professional help most of it might be covered in their medical plan, theres so many scammers out there I’d watch what you do online.

Aww im sorry about your depression. I don’t think it will really matter if a doctor tells you if your depressed or not because either way your not happy. Why don’t you find something that does make you feel great?

Hi there, no I’m not a doc, but i have plenty of experience with this kind of thing, would like to help you if i can. I don’t think you have anything wrong with you, maybe you have a slight case of "Growing up", when children turn into young adults they bodies and minds are changed forever, and I think this can cause you to have these unwelcome feelings. Tell us about your family life, whats going on at home, is everything ok, do you have pressure from exams and stuff?, has anyone died in your family recently, who much sleep are you getting, how is your appetite, what about your social life. all these things will be asked by the doc and a few more I should think.
But you can ask you self these questions and well, if you don’t have any reason to be depressed then YOU ARE NOT.
All you have to do is change your mind set
Here is something real for you, repeat this to your self every day 20 times. "I love myself, respect myself exactly as I am".
As to the main point of your question, whats wrong with your own doc??, if you really want to see a doc then why not go to the hospital,
and while your there (sorry, i have to say this) take a look around at some of the sick people, those who are dying from cancer and then just count your lucky stars ok?
