During the Depression, they called "welfare" "relief" until it took on negative connotations. Time to change?
That was also before people began to abuse the welfare system. Now unfortunetly many people (NOT ALL) are being lazy and chosing not to imporve their circumstances. I grew up in poverty and believe in relief. anybody could find themselves in need of help, its what you do for yourslef after someone helps you that counts!

yes. anybody recieving a paycheck or whatever by my tax dollars, i would line them all up against a wall and shoot em in the head. THANK YOU for letting express my true feelings.

Yes, I think so because welfare/relief promotes the idea of not participating in a career to earn money for yourself and your family, but instead, rely on others.

It just needs reformed. My brother suffered a traumatic brain injury and cant work. The SS denied him disability because he didnt work enough…He was only seventeen at the time of the accident.
But yet a prostitute with 5 kids can keep having babies and get money to buy themselves stuff and let the children starve.
